Recommendation for Ed Dee and Sanctuary Real Estate – Five Stars!! My wife and I considered ourselves fairly well-versed in the home-buying process. My wife had owned a home previously, and I had worked and lived in Silicon Valley for years and held some background in real estate brokerage. However, we were both first-time “mountain home” buyers and were truly unprepared for the complexities of navigating this type of deal. To make things worse, our type of loan put us in a unique situation that added other challenges. Getting referred to Ed Dee was a lifesaver. Ed was a professional from Day 1. It was evident from the way Ed spoke about contracts that he held ethical standards in high esteem, and he was able to speak to and clearly explain every line and clause laid out on paper. Ed also brought with him a wealth of local knowledge. Far apart from helping us negotiate our initial offer, Ed was able to recommend which local inspectors to use and provided suggestions and tips to get the most out of our inspection phase. Working with Ed also meant we became part of his “expert team”. Ed brought in a very capable mortgage lending professional, and his business partner Brittany helped us manage the various documents so we did not lose track along the way. We had previously spent time with two other local real estate agents. We found that the first, despite living in the area, did not have extensive knowledge of the region. We found another to be extremely pushy, and we felt as though we were being sold to make an offer that was way outside our budget. Ed, on the other hand, was a capable negotiator that always worked to preserve the deal and keep our interest (as buyers) close to heart. Ed walked us through the market dynamics, talked about price ranges, and spent time understanding what we were looking for and our financial situation. Last, but not least, Ed closely partnered with us throughout the entire deal, way beyond the make-an-offer phase. Leading up to our close, Ed handled the stressful penultimate negotiations with ease and worked to assuage all parties to navigate the deal to the final close. Bottom line, Ed has the extraordinary ability to secure a great deal as a buyer’s agent in a hot market. His expertise, connections, and due diligence helped us all the way from offer to inspections, repairs, financing, and close. We are delighted with our new home, and we know we could not have made this type of home purchase without Ed and his team.
